First warning, and a fall...
It was inevitable. Every bicycle rider knows the day will come when they take their first spill. My day was yesterday. Without going into too many gorey details, I have quite a few scrapes that sting and parts of my body that ache... but, I am ok. Thank goodness the higher power was watching me and allowed this spill to be a warning and nothing more. In fact, as I was flying through the air the only thing I thought was "Oh my gawd, I'm not wearing a helmet!"
Hence this post. I am not getting on my bicycle again until I get a helmet! That, and, my bike is in the shop for a bit as she is all discombobulated (much like her passenger). Poor baby. She's in the right-hand column of my blog, and I wrote about here here if you'd like to check her out... pre-crash.
The bright-side of all of this is: now we get to go shopping! Which helmet should I get?

Dress Dilemma
A good friend of mine, and maybe someday a family member *wink*, is on a mission to find a fabulous dress for a formal event. She sent the following message:
I am going to a formal event (cocktail dresses to formal gowns are the norm). I would like something that I could also wear to a wedding, any suggestions? I am clueless, other than I know low cut in the ...front does NOT work. I am not sure what is my favorite. I am a little tired of black, but will do it if it is "fun". I have a nice butt, and nice shoulders, no boobs, and hate flowery patterns unless it is a great fabric (like silk). floor length or above the knee works....I have been thinking about a catsuit (do they still call them that?) but think I might be too short. Wow!!! I am so confused....help!!!!
