This week Ultimo, a Chicago staple and the forefront of fashion from the 70's to today, has announced it is closing it's doors. Current owner, Sara Albrecht, admits "it just seems like the right time," as told to Crain's Chicago Business.

Lucky for us we still have Ikram, the founder {and namesake} of which began to display her brilliance while employed by Ultimo under Joan Weinstein's ownership.
