I agree with the idea that many wonderful things come from New York. The food, the way of life, the fashion.... {Not the skyscraper, but that topic can be an entire blog post in itself!}
However, it is becoming more and more apparent to me that Chicago designers are not getting the spotlight they rightfully deserve! Yes, Chicago Fashion Week has come a long way from it's start just a few short years ago. Thus, it is my newest 'duty' to bring some emerging, established, or newly relocated Chicago designers to your attention!
The first two designers to be featured are two women that couldn't be more different; again proving my theory that anyone with a dream, hope and a prayer can make anything happen!
AmberLynn Beach is a Southern native that relocated to Chicago after spending her life enjoying all that vintage stores offer. From this experience and love for the 'history' clothing offers. AmberLynn's line creates an ambiance reminiscent of the past.

Meanwhile, Anna Fong began her fashion career in New York working for the Chaps Ralph Lauren house. After being recognized with many award wins, Anna Fong is now dressing many celebrities including Kimora Lee Simmons and her designs have appeared on several TV series.
Psst! Both women graduated from Columbia College Chicago.
